Hey Boys and Girls,

Short update on what we've been up to these past two weeks:

- BUG FIXES, over 50 of them.. squashed

- Performance improvements, snappier page loading and video playback

- HTML5 video, plays on the iPad and iPhone!

We'll be working on some new features in the next few weeks.  Look for Google analytics integration, video statistics, and more!

We've added HTML5 video support as the default for stores!  This means that your videos will play in non-flash environments such as the iPhone and iPad.

Additionally, you can choose to stream using RTMP to make videos more secure.  Access the setting on your "My Store" page.

We've made a small change that makes it easier for customers who are purchasing your videos.  Previously we required an account registration before directing users to PayPal.  Now, we skip that step and send an email to their PayPal account.

Here's an example of what customers will see in their inbox after they make a purchase from your store:

We are excited to announce the arrival of our pricing page!  

Our plans differ based on storage used and bandwidth costs.  The good news: we are not limiting features, or charging a percentage of sales regardless of which plan you choose.

Today's blog post is inspired by my co-founder Ivan and his work on the design of our site.  We'll walk you through his thought process and show you how to harness the power of OCD to become a better designer.

1. Get inspired.

Gather a list of designs that you find inspiring.  These will be a starting point for the next step.

Here are a few of my favorites:

2. Emulate.

 Emulation has been scientifically proven to be the most powerful learning device known to man.  Take those stylistic elements that you desire, study them, and practice making them your own.  Make sure to give credit when it's due, and don't be blatant about copying -- or karma will get you in the end.

3. Iterate!

Success comes with hard work.  It's likely that you won't get it right the first time, but don't be discouraged.  At each successive step, take a look at your previous attempt, and make sure your next one looks better.

Store owners now have the option to set up a custom domain for their storefront.  This can be set up through your my store page.

Rentals & Downloads

Let's you specify the number of days your customers will have access to the video.  You also have the option to give them access to a downloadable video.
